It's time to get out those great recipes for our Wednesday Lenten Soup & Salad Suppers!  The suppers will begin on February 24 at 6:00 PM and continue through March 24.

There will be a sign up sheet in the Narthex.  We ask that you bring a pot of soup or a salad for 10, rolls or bread and butter.  Please label your dishes and list the contents so those with food allergies are aware of any potential allergens.  If possible, use a crock pot for the soup so it can be kept hot.  You may leave your soup in the church kitchen on Tuesday in the refrigerator, but please label it "Lenten Supper." Otherwise, please have the food to church by 5:15 PM on Wednesdays.  If you have any questions, please call the church office at 734.459.3333

Once upon a time, not that long ago, there was a young mother, named Mary, that had a little baby girl who she loved above all else. This young mom was all alone in life, except for her baby, and struggled to make ends meet. To support herself and her baby she worked as a waitress in a local family restaurant, for minimum wage, plus a few meager tips.

Before her baby was born she had worked as a barmaid, but had to give that job up because of the long late hours that she would have to be away from her baby every weekend. She was tempted to go back to that job, simply because the drunks on Friday night were a lot more generous with their tips than the crowd that came in for breakfast after church on Sunday mornings.
